Your voice can change during pregnancy. This is due to the change in the hormone, your voice can get deeper. So, don’t be scared when this happens to you. It is quite normal and it is due to the rise in estrogen and progesterone which can cause swelling of the vocal folds.
Babies can hear their mothers voice from inside the womb. From about 18 weeks, babes are able to hear sounds. By 25-26 weeks, babies can hear noise and also respond to them.
Uterus gets a lot bigger. Before conceiving, a woman uterus is said to be the size of an orange. Towards the third trimester, it can be about the size of a watermelon.
Blood volume increases. A woman’s blood volume increase to 40-50 %. This is to supply blood to the baby in the womb also.
During pregnancy, your body produces a hormone called relaxin which softens ligaments in the body. This hormone also helps to make the pelvis more flexible during childbirth.
