Easy home remedies for irregular menstrual period


The menstrual cycle comes with so many problems that are common in most of the women. Women have 11 to 13 periods per year, but those who experience irregular period may have fewer than 6 or 7 periods.

Irregular period can be caused by various things ranging from: Significant weight loss or weight gain, miscarriage, excessive drinking of alcohol or smoking, miscarriage, childbirth, poor nutrition, increased stress, uterine fibroids, hormonal imbalance e.t.c.

Here is a list of some simple home remedies that can help you get rid of irregular periods and maintain hormonal balance as well.

Aloe Vera

This is a natural remedy one can use to get rid of irregular period and regulate hormonal imbalance. Take some fresh aloe vera gel from the plant and mix a teaspoon of honey into it. Then drink this mixture every day before having your breakfast. Repeat this process at least for about three months. Do not try this during your menstrual periods.


Ginger greatly helps regulate monthly periods in women. It promotes menstruation flow and also relieves women from the unbearable pain. Pour half teaspoon of freshly grounded ginger in one cup of water for 5-10 minutes. Then add a little sugar or honey to enhance the taste. Stir this mixture and drink three times a day after every meal for around one month.

Vitamin C

This largely contributes to the production of estrogen that builds the uterine lining that handles your periods. Take high doses of vitamin C if your periods do not occur in 30 or 35 days. You can include orange, apple, tomatoes, berries, etc in your diet.

Carrot juice

Carrots are the good source of iron and regulate proper functioning of the hormone. One should drink a glass of carrot juice regularly for three months to normalize the irregular menstruation cycle.

Above every other thing you should exercise often, maintain a healthy weight body, relax, eat vegetables, take multi vitamins.
